Dear lannyplans, The hybrid stove is a really great construction. Thanks. Please come to see our our new gardening website ahead of its launch this week on Wednesday. YourGardenShow is a social network, for gardeners and others and would be a new audience for your hybrid stove. The YGS founders are Lisa and Tom, organic farmers who are also community builders. It would be interesting to hear what you think of our site and get more people excited by your ideas.

Why patent? A burner company is hardly going to patent something made out of old tins (love the reuse); give the plans out online and make a construction video, and screw the companies that want us to keep "upgrading" and using their products: self-build is the way to go. Thanks Lanny.

Please, you should see if you can patent this if you haven't already. The reason being that if you feel it's not differentiated enough to try or you don't wish to make profit from those in less economically developed countries (LEDC) the please remember that someone else probably will - if rights are going to held it's far better than it's held by you; and it does't have to mean a poor deal for those in need! What about availability of appropriately burning wood in those LEDCs?
